Terms of Use

These terms apply to every app published by Athanor Studio. By using one of our apps, you accept them. The app-specific notes at the end add what is particular to each app; where they differ, the app-specific note takes precedence. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Who we are
Athanor Studio is an independent app studio based in Paris, France. You can reach us at contact@athanor-studio.io.
Using our apps
- We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our apps on the devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
- You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer the apps, try to access our servers other than through the apps, or use them in a way that harms the service or other users.
- When you download an app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, the rules of that store also apply to you. These terms are between you and Athanor Studio only; Apple and Google are not responsible for the apps or their content.
Subscriptions
Some apps offer an optional auto-renewable subscription. When they do:
- Price and period are shown in the app before you subscribe, in your local currency, as set by the store.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase — or, with a free trial, when the trial ends. We never receive your payment details.
- Renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Free trials. A free trial is offered once per account. If you do not cancel before it ends, it turns into a paid subscription.
- Cancelling is done in your store account, not in the app: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period already paid.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue them ourselves.
- We may change what a subscription includes or costs. A price change never applies to a period already paid, and the store asks for your consent where required.
Your content
- You keep all rights to the content you create in our apps — photos, routes, notes, a pseudonym, a profile photo.
- When you publish something in a community feature, you allow us to store it and show it to other users of the app, for as long as it stays published. You can remove it at any time, as described in the app-specific notes.
- You are responsible for what you publish. Do not publish content that is unlawful, offensive, or that infringes someone else's rights — including photos of people who have not agreed to appear in them.
- Other users can report content. We review reports and may hide or remove content, or suspend a profile, that breaks these terms.
Health and safety
Our apps may relate to physical activity or nutrition. They give information, not medical, coaching or safety advice. You are responsible for practising safely and within your limits.
Availability and changes
We work to keep our apps available and accurate, but they are provided “as is”: we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every result (such as an automatic analysis) will be correct. We may change, suspend or discontinue a feature or an app. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will say so in advance in the app.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Athanor Studio is not liable for indirect damages, or for damages resulting from a misuse of the apps. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country, nor our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Ending
You can stop using an app at any time by deleting it; see Deleting your account and data for the data we hold. We may suspend access to community features for anyone who breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If a dispute arises, contact us first: we will try to solve it together. You may also use the European Commission's consumer redress services, or the courts that have jurisdiction under the law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when. Material changes are announced in the app or on this page.
App-specific notes
Climbr — indoor bouldering logbook
- Climbr Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, yearly or monthly, with a 3-day free trial on the yearly plan for accounts that have never had one. It unlocks unlimited wall scans and your full history and statistics. Without it, you can scan three walls per week.
- Automatic hold detection is a help, not a certainty: always check the holds of your route on the wall.
- Ranking and shared boulders are community features. What they publish, and how to stop publishing it, is described in the Privacy Policy.
